During our lion monitoring patrols, our warriors also record the presence of lion’s wild prey. This data helps Ewaso Lions track prey abundance to measure the health of the ecosystem. Through the data collected, we are also able to monitor the effectiveness of Conservation Areas, namely the Conservation Area in Westgate Conservancy. Conservation Areas are set aside for wildlife and discourage any human settlements or livestock from coming in.
