Male Lion Shot and Killed

Apr 22, 2016 | Categories: Uncategorized | 4 Comments

It is with great sadness we announce that a young male lion was shot dead recently in Samburu, northern Kenya.

We have been unable to confirm the identity of the lion but suspect that it is Loiwotwa, a young nomadic male we have been monitoring for the last three years.

Our team continues to patrol the area together with conservancy rangers. We are grateful to everyone for the support during what has been a challenging time for our team.

This is truly sad. We can ill-afford to lose any more lions, especially at the hands of humans.
Thank you for all your efforts to keep these mighty animals walking the planet. With any luck, they will outlive us all.
My sympathies,

How killers can enter the parc without been seen by the patrol then moreover kill the lion and escape the control like that !!!!
What the guards are doing ? It would be recommended to reinforce the control first at the entrance of the parc and the patrol cars as well.
So sad to hear a such bad news !!!!!
With my deep regrets for this beautiful lion !!
Warm regards from Tokyo,

This is sad news. So few Lion’s left in the world. Loosing even one is a disaster.
